What is 3D scanning, exactly?
3D scanning captures rooms, buildings and land with survey accuracy and turns them into digital twins — walkable 360° models, point clouds, BIM models or CAD plans. Unlike classical surveying, we capture everything between the measured points so you can ask questions weeks later without going back on site. We capture millions to billions of points, delivering not just dimensions but a complete as-built representation.
How accurate is a 3D scan from Bitblade Vision?
For our standard — Matterport-Pro / LiDAR scanner on foot plus RTK drone flight — we state ±2 cm per 10 m. For small detail models with a handheld scanner, ±0.1 mm is possible. We recommend the method that fits the use case — not every job needs sub-millimetre tolerance.
Which output formats do you deliver?
For Matterport captures you receive the full Matterpak bundle: E57 point cloud, textured OBJ mesh, XYZ point cloud, reflected ceiling plan and floorplan with dimensions — plus the web viewer for the walkable tour. Drone data we process with WebODM into orthophoto (GeoTIFF), DTM/DSM, LAS point cloud and textured 3D mesh. BIM models (Revit, ArchiCAD, IFC) are hand-crafted and produced individually on request — not a standard output.
How long does a typical project take?
Apartment 1 day on site, industrial hall 1–3 days, large outdoor areas by drone typically 1 day. Data processing then runs in our cloud pipeline — delivery typically within 5 business days after the scan day.
Which regions do you cover?
We cover the entire DACH region from our location Lauchringen (Black Forest, DE). Southern Germany, Lake Constance, Switzerland and Vorarlberg are particularly central to us — the shortest travel of any major DACH provider.
How secure and GDPR-compliant is our data?
All scan data is processed and stored exclusively on European servers. Carbon-neutral operation on certified green electricity. NDA-compliant delivery via encrypted transfer. On request we verifiably delete the original data after project completion.
What does a 3D scan by Bitblade Vision include?
Every package includes the walkable tour and floor plan; we publish transparent package prices from €499 (apartment up to 250 m²) up to €3,990 (industrial hall up to 10,000 m²).
