What the research shows — and what it does not. A study by Texas Tech University, commissioned by Matterport, analysed 143,575 property listings across four US regions (November 2016 to November 2019, including 3,935 listings with a 3D tour). Listings with a tour sold up to 31 % faster and achieved 4–9 % higher sale prices, depending on the market. A second sub-study of 700 listings found a 20 % shorter time on market and a 4.8 % higher price.
